Job Description & Requirements

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Reports to Director/Manager/Charge RN. Requires an associate's degree and is licensed as a registered nurse. Requires Florida RN license in good standing. Requires an associates degree in nursing. Bachelor's preferred Requires a minimum of 3 years experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, or NICU. Requires American Heart Association BLS and ACLS. prior to hire. Requires NRP. prior to hire. Assists with deliveries and immediate transition care of newborn. Continually communicates with physician and charge RN regarding changes in patient condition. Administers medication, IV therapy, and blood products with a high degree of accuracy. Knows the effect and usage of drugs used in antepartum, postpartum, post-op, and newborns and responds appropriately . Performs postpartum and newborn care as assigned. Required Qualifications
