Sterile Processor / Sterile Processing Technician / Sterile Tech (SPT)

Needs: 
(1) Evening Shift - Full time Sterile Processing Tech
(1) Night Shift - Full time Sterile Processing Techs 

Shift / Schedule: 
Evening - 12p to 8:30 pm - 8 hour shifts
Night - 3pm to 11:30pm - 8 hour shifts
Monday – Friday weekly ongoing block booking

Job Description: 
One yr experience in Sterile Processing or compatible Operation Room Technician or Registered Sterile Processing Technician course with Certification. Working knowledge of Labor&Delivery Room/Operating Room instrumentation processing techniques, medical supplies, and proficiency in the following required: Basic micro-biology, soaps and detergents, fundamentals of cleaning and packaging of sterile supplies, steam sterilization, gas sterilization and aeration, quality assurance, infection control, isolation techniques and safe practices in Sterile Processing. Physical Requirements involving frequent heavy lifting (over 25lbs) or pushing over 500lbs, often combined with bending, twisting, and long periods of time on feet. Ability to distinguish colors and hear audible alarms required. Will work in a collaborative labor-management environment those results in a higher performance work team. Knowledge with cleaning and decontamination of hospital equipment (IV Pumps, Compression Devices, Bedside commodes, etc.)

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in Sterile Processing / Operating Room / Registered Sterile Processing Technician Course with Certification
  • CST or IAHCSMM or CBSPD Certifications
  • BLS from American Heart Association
