Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing preferred. Associate Degree candidates may be considered, provided they are either currently enrolled, or will shortly be enrolled in an accredited RN to BSN program. One year of RN experience required. Labor and delivery nurses care for women and newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages of the childbirth process. L&D RNs provide support and monitor the mother`s and baby`s vital signs during labor birth and manage a variety of potential issues that may arise. Labor and delivery nursing jobs also include providing support and education to mothers and their families after giving birth. Typically, L&D nurses work in hospitals, clinics and maternity or birthing centers.

Required Qualifications

must maintain active RN licensure in the state of Maryland. Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing preferred. Associate Degree candidates may be considered, provided they are either currently enrolled, or will shortly be enrolled in an accredited RN to BSN program. Eighteen months of recent RN experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

ADN to BSN as long as in a program Orientation 6 months Permanent Position is night shift 7pm to 7:30am 36 hours per week
