Job Description & Requirements

Holiday: 1 major and 1 minor as needed Weekends: 2-3 weekend shifts every 4 week schedule period " The unit provides care for the Level 1 Trauma patients as well as patients that require care in a Comprehensive Stroke Center. " This unit is a tertiary unit that is the receiver of patients from all over the South East. " This unit consists of an 18 bed Surgical Trauma Unit, a 9 bed CVICU, and a 10 bed CICU unit totaling 37 beds. Patients received are trauma, neuro-trauma, large surgical cases, CABG/Valve/vascular surgeries, cardiac diagnosis with severe comorbidities, sepsis, critical post-partum, stroke related injury patients, cancer and blood medicine patients. " This unit cares for patients on CRRT, IAPB, ICP/EVD monitoring, Swan Ganz, Edward Life Sciences Non-invasive Flo-Track, Rotorest and Rotoprone specialty beds. Acuity is high and the units are always full so all RN's must have all specialty skills to work in this unit. " The nurses un this unit float to the 3T Neuro ICU as needed. This unit has care delivered by private physicians, critical care specialists, neurology, and neurosurgeons, ACNP's, PA's and a residency program supported with IMS, Ortho, General Surgery, and Family Practice. " EPIC experience required " Will be required to float to other med/surg tele units as needed and assigned, must be flexible " Must have at least 3 years direct experience in level I trauma center and/or teaching facility-- NO EXCEPTIONS " Cannot be 1st travel assignment Yes, 36 hours/week

active GA/compact license copies of ACLS BLS NIHSS previous travel EPIC experience 3 years ICU Experience
