The Lutheran Children's Hospital - a hospital within a hospital teams with 68 pediatricians across the region practicing in 20 pediatric specialties. We recently opened a freestanding emergency department in eastern Fort Wayne, for 24/7 convenient emergent care! Lutheran Hospital - Life changing care! Lutheran Hospital is owned in part by physicians. Under the immediate direction of the unit Supervisor and/or Division Director, or other designated clinical management as assigned, the Registered Nurse (RN) in our Medical/Surgical department provides direct patient care before, during and after surgical procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) operates under the clinical leadership and guidance of a clinical nurse preceptor/mentor, and assists with all aspects of a surgical procedure, as required.

Required Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Certifications / Licenses: Current state Nurse license Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification

This 396-bed tertiary care facility, features Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers and an accredited cancer care program. In addition, this facility has achieved advanced certification from The Joint Commission for ventricular assist devices and was the first hospital in northern Indiana to perform transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
