Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse - (NICU RN)
Start Date: 12/19/2017
Exclusive AMN orders! UNIT DESCRIPTION: This is a mixed unit of nicu and pediatrics. Total of 9 beds (primarily NICU) but staff will float between nicu, peds, and post partum. Nurse must have one year experience in NICU and pediatrics. This is a Level III NICU, high risk premies. Nurse to patient ratio: Nicu=1:2, Peds=1:3. No ancillary staff, patient age range is neonates to adolescents. Patient Population: high risk, level III, premies with chest tubes, vents, ua/uv line insertion. Cardiac, respiratory, vascular, and thoracic. Ethical Issues: blood transfusions, end of life care (bio-ethics committee). Meds: Dobutamine, dopamine, Indocin, fentanyl, vasopressors, heparin, thrombolytics. Orientation: buddy system. RN provides their own scrubs, may be any color
