Job Description & Requirements

Brand new, award winning facility with state of the art equipment servicing over 49 specialists and subspecialties. Generous compensation and benefit package available. 150 miles outside of San Antonio, Laredo overlooks the Rio Grande River.

The Director will manage a team of 78 FTE's in a Level III Trauma Center. Will evaluate workflow and daily operations within the department, while creating a culture that ensures high quality patient care, improves employee engagement and boosts morale.

As a director of nursing, your role is a key component of a well run nursing department. While your duties will vary greatly, your ultimate goal istoensure the highest standards of patient care as you interact with physicians, patients and family members. Cliniciansin the role of director of nursingcan expect to supervise nursing staff, oversee patient care, manage patient data and medical records, and perform senior administrative functions such as budget planning and record-keeping, all while maintaining an open line of communication with corporate and senior level staff members.

Required Qualifications

Prefers a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in the field. Management experience is preferred. Requires a valid U.S. Nursing License with the ability to obtain a Texas License within 6 months of hire.
